On Monday, December 8, between the JV and Varsity boys game versus Trimble, Southern Local will have an official presentation of the James R Adams Gymnasium and the Carl Wolfe Court. The JV game starts at 6 p.m.

Southern Ladies take the win tonight 61-57 vs the Ladies from River Valley.

Mark your Calendars!! The Southern High School Band is hosting a fundraiser and bake sale at the Pomeroy Wendy's this Saturday, December 6th from 11:00a.m. to 3:00p.m. All sales made at that Wendy's during the 4-hour time frame, will get 10% of the total sales donated to the band. We will even have donation buckets inside and out if you do not want to eat at Wendy's, but if you want to donate or get items from the bake sale instead, for the support of the organization. If you have any questions, please contact Autumn Porter for more information. Doing something good has never tasted better!

Rada fundraiser is back with the Southern High School Band! The start is November 24th to December 5th. This is our number one fundraiser for the band. With every sale made either online or in person catalog, we get 40% of those sales! IF you order in the catalog, orders are due by December 5th to guarantee delivery before Christmas. Otherwise, you can still order after that date. Online orders are self-explanatory as your usual ordering online procedures with any other shopping store. Furthermore, the online catalog through our page it's open all year round, 24/7 and we still get 40% of those sales no matter what!!! So if the dates don't work for you, order during the spring, summer, fall, or even next Christmas!

5th Grade had a great time on the campus of Ohio University listening to the symphony orchestra. They heard works by Holst, Offenbach, and Sondheim. They were some of the most behaved students there! Southern Local was well represented!

The Lady Tornadoes Volleyball team ended their season today as District runners-up with a final record of 20-3.

Mr. Pickens’ American History class recently finished their Flanders Fields recitation project. Those students who received an A were awarded a paper “buddy” poppy donated from local American Legions.

Brailyn Lamb, Eastern Senior and her family unfortunately lost their home during the Reedsville fire that occurred yesterday evening. The family is physically well, but the home was a total loss. Any donations of any kind this evening are greatly appreciated at tonight’s Southern EasternGame and will directly benefit the Lamb family as our hearts truly go out to them at this time and all affected by yesterday's fire. Collection points will be available at entry gates, and at the concession stands. #StrongerTogether

We hope to see you all at Roger Lee Adams Memorial Field this Friday at 5:50 pm, where we will be celebrating our 12 seniors participating in band, cheer, cross country, golf, and football at our annual Senior Night. Then stay and watch the cheerleaders, band, and football team compete against Eastern High School. Let's Go!!!!
