Car riders will come out the front doors at the exact time below. Parents ----PLEASE do not arrive until 2 minutes before your child's dismissal time. There is not enough room in the parking lot for extra cars if it is not their child's dismissal time.

Grades 7-12- XC conditioning begins next Monday (7/27) from 8:00-9:30am at Star Mill Park.
Southern Local's Health Clinic will be closed on Monday, July 20th. It will reopen the following Monday July 27th and every Monday there after until school starts.
The OHSAA and SEDAB scholarships are awarded to student-athletes who have excelled academically and athletically. To be nominated by their high school students must meet the following criteria: must be a graduating senior; have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale; must have received a minimum of three varsity letters in one OHSAA sanctioned sport or four varsity letters in a combination of any two or more OHSAA sanctioned sports.
In conjunction with the OHSAA, the Southeast District Athletic Board awarded eighteen scholarships to athletes across the district and hosted the annual scholarship banquet on June 22,2026 at Parks Edge in Jackson, Ohio to honor this year’s recipients. Scholarships awarded included the SEDAB James Mains Memorial Scholarship, the SEDAB Roger Thompson
Memorial Scholarship, the Male and Female Ethnic Minority Scholarship, and 14 additional scholarships. Each scholarship was in the amount of $1,000.
Southern High School would like to congratulate Andre Chandler, Noach Leachman, and Kiersten Rose for being recipients of this scholarship.

Thank you to those that came for food today. COAD gave out 50 boxes in this trial run. Next week and the week after they will be able to give out 150 a week.

Southern Track and Field Sends 5 to the State Meet at Jessie Owens Stadium.
OHSAA Division 5 Region 16 Meet was held last Thursday and Saturday at Southeastern High School
Southern’s 4X800 team of Dayton Reiber, Cohen Roush, Caden Hupp, and Andre Chandler placed 5th with a new School Record time of 8:35.11.
This team will be running at the state meet on Thursday at 4:30PM
Andre Chandler placed 3rd in the 800 with a new School Record time of 1:57.55.
Andre will run the 800 at the state meet on Friday at 6:10PM
Edie Templeton finished 5th in the 400 with a new school record time of 59:61
Edie will run in the 400 prelims at the state meet on Thursday at 5:50PM…if she qualifies for finals she will run again on Friday at 5:50PM.
Day 1 of regionals at Southeastern High School and our boys 4x800 relay team of Dayton Reiber, Cohen Roush, Caden Hupp, and Andre Chandler have qualified for the the State Track Meet next week at Jessie Owens Stadium. The boys finished in 5th place with a new school record time of 8:25.11.
Edie Templeton advances to finals in the 400 with the chance to punch her ticket to the State Meet as well.

On Wednesday, members of the NHS had the honor of placing flags at a local cemetery to remember and recognize the veterans who gave so much for our country. As Memorial Day approaches, we are proud to help honor their sacrifices.
