RACINE- Students at Southern High School had an opportunity to explore career possibilities with Staff Sgt. Ethan Fischer of the U.S. Marine Corps, who spoke to juniors and seniors about the many paths available through military service on Wednesday, Oct. 28.
Fischer highlighted a variety of career fields, including welding, diesel mechanics and aviation, showing students that the Marine Corps offers opportunities beyond combat-related roles.
He also emphasized the importance of making yourself marketable in today's workforce and encouraged students to research careers that match their interests and goals.
In addition to career opportunities, Fischer discussed benefits available through military service, including free medical insurance, a stipend for living expenses, and retirement benefits.
His presentation gave students insight into potential career paths while encouraging them to think about their futures and the opportunities available to help them succeed.
