RACINE, OH- At Southern High School, STEM education is about to “stick” in a whole new way. Thanks to a generous $500 donation from Gallipolis Elks Lodge #107, STEM and science students now have cordless glue guns to help bring hands-on learning projects together.

glue 1The donations of 26 cordless glue guns and glue sticks are already being called a “bonding experience,” as teachers prepare for future engineering builds, science fair models, robotics projects, and classroom creations that are sure to stick with students for years to come.

School leaders say the cordless glue guns will help make projects safer, easier to manage, and more flexible during classroom activities. Without cords getting tangled in the middle of experiments and designs, students can focus on creativity.

Teachers are especially excited about the possibilities for STEM innovation. From building prototypes to crafting scientific models, the new equipment will help students “heat up” their problem-solving skills while encouraging teamwork and creativity.

When the cordless glue guns were passed out, the teachers lit up with joy, very thankful for the useful tools.
