The elementary students gathered to honor and remember veterans local and abroad. We feel it is vital to honor these men and women who have served and given either part of all of their life for our freedom.
Southern NHS members helped facilitate along with Mr. Russ Fields. Mrs. Tricia McNickel was this year's speaker and did an excellent job thanking those who have served as well as teaching and reminding students why this day was so important.
Patriotic selections were performed by the High School Band as well as 4th grade home rooms.
From all of us at Southern Local, we extend our greatest gratitude for those who have and are currently serving.
