RACINE, OHIO – Southern Junior/Senior High School held its PBIS Incentive Day today, celebrating students who met behavior and academic expectations during the first nine weeks of school.
What is PBIS?
PBIS, which stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports, is an evidence-based framework designed to improve student behavior and foster a positive school culture. It focuses on teaching and reinforcing positive behaviors through proactive, data-driven strategies rather than relying solely on punishment. PBIS provides multiple tiers of support to meet all students’ needs, with the ultimate goal of enhancing academic success and supporting students’ social, emotional, and mental well-being.
