Our FFA Members Shine at the Fair!

The fairgrounds are buzzing with excitement, and our FFA members are at the heart of the action, showcasing their hard work and dedication. From the show ring to our award-winning fair booth, the students have demonstrated the true spirit of the future of agriculture. This was held at the Meigs County Fair on August 11th.

A Season of Hard Work in the Show Ring

For many of our members, the fair is the culmination of months of effort raising and training their livestock projects. Countless hours were spent feeding, grooming, and preparing their animals for competition. This year's show was a testament to that dedication. Our students led their animals with confidence and skill, showcasing their knowledge of animal health, nutrition, and showmanship.

The competition was fierce, but our members stood out. Tyson Hupp showed his goat and was in Final Drive. Hunter Lackey showed his market lambs and got 10th place overall. Marcy Evans showed her steer and got 3rd overall in the Market Class. Wyatt Smith showed his turkey and got 8th place overall. Bella Johnson placed 2nd in Market Class.  Mckenzie Sellers placed 5th in Market Class. The real victory, however, is not just in the ribbons. It's in the invaluable lessons learned about responsibility, perseverance, and sportsmanship. These young leaders now have a deeper understanding of the agricultural industry, from farm to table.

Teamwork on Display: Our Fair Booth

Beyond the barns, our FFA chapter's teamwork was on full display in the fair's exhibit hall. Members collaborated to design and build an impressive fair booth that captured the attention of visitors and judges alike.

The students created a vibrant and educational display. They worked together to arrange educational materials, photographs of their projects, and interactive elements. The booth wasn't just a decoration; it was a testament to the chapter's collective creativity and shared passion for agriculture. There were wiring projects, shop projects, livestock projects and green house projects.

A special thank you to all the parents, advisors, and community members who supported our students throughout this fair season. Your guidance and encouragement were instrumental in their success.

Congratulations to all our FFA members on a fantastic fair! Your dedication is an inspiration, and your achievements are a source of pride for our entire community.
