These real-world placements gave students a unique opportunity to explore potential career paths, build professional skills, and form valuable connections in the community.

Southern High School interns and their placements included:

Katie Brooker – Racine Optometric Clinic

Piper Hill – Southern High School, Racine

Madelyn Houghton – Serenity Spa by Chicly Confident & Gallery 14, both in Pomeroy

Tristan Moore – Southern High School, Racine

Nathaniel Nero – Village of Racine

Ali Norris – Darrell Norris & Son Greenhouses, Racine

Miyah Pickett – Picky Graces Boutique, Athens

Kianna Rose – Holzer Health System, Pomeroy

Kiersten Rose – Holzer Health System, Pomeroy

Landen Smith – Holzer Health System, Athens

Hannah Turley – Holzer Health System, Gallipolis

Southern Local School District extends its heartfelt thanks to Project RISE, the Athens-Meigs ESC, and the dedicated business and professional partners who welcomed our students. By opening their doors and sharing their expertise, they’ve helped inspire the next generation of workers, leaders, and innovators in our region.
