RACINE, OH — The Racine Southern Local Schools celebrated the achievements of their FFA seniors during the 2025 Senior Awards Ceremony held today. The event highlighted the hard work and dedication of students excelling in agricultural education and leadership.

Several seniors earned recognition for completing four or more agricultural courses. Honorees included Christopher Dylan Haye, Nathanial Nero, Corey Seth, Austin Stover, Hannah Turley, and Anthony Whobrey.

Nathanial Nero (pictured below) was named the 2025 Outstanding FFA Senior, acknowledging his exemplary commitment and leadership in the program.

In addition, nine students proudly received the Agribusiness and Production Systems Certification, accompanied by graduation cords and certificates. These students were Landon Everson, Christopher Dylan Haye, Nathanial Nero, Corey Seth, Michiah Smith, Austin Stover, Hannah Turley, Colin Wemmer, and Anthony Whobrey (pictured below). To earn this award they had to have passed two agriculture courses, passed the state agriculture exams (WebXam) that accompanied those courses and had a minimum of 250 SAE hours.

Safety was also emphasized as six students earned the OSHA 10 Certification. Recipients included Christopher Dylan Haye, Nathanial Nero, Cali O’Brien, Corey Seth, Zach Thomas, and Anthony Whobrey (pictured below).

Corey Seth and Christopher Dylan Haye (pictured below) were awarded the Ohio Agribusiness Association Certification, further highlighting their expertise in the field.

The ceremony also celebrated the generosity of local organizations with scholarships awarded to deserving seniors. Corey Seth, Hannah Turley, and Christopher Dylan Haye (pictured below) each received $,200 scholarships from Ohio River Producers, which is our FFA Alumni. Additionally, Christopher Dylan Haye and Nathanial Nero were honored with $5,000 FFA Future Leaders Scholarships sponsored by TSC-Trade.

The Racine Southern FFA program continues to foster growth, leadership, and academic excellence among its students, preparing them for successful futures in agriculture and beyond.
