Thursday morning, March 9, 2023, Southern Local’s eighth grade students visited Meigs Career Center at Meigs High School. This trip gave our students the opportunity to start thinking about their future career options. Southern students were able to see the career tech educational (CTE) programs being used first hand by currently enrolled students, ask questions of the instructors, and get a better understanding and feel for the opportunities offered through the Meigs Career Center. We believe this will allow our students to make better informed decisions about their futures. Thank you to the following staff members for supervising this trip: Ms. Sharp, Mrs. Blackhurst, Mr. Wickline, Ms. Lanning, and Mr. Fields.
