Staff members of the month were:

Beth Lanning - Teacher of the Month

I would like to nominate Beth Lanning as employee of the month. Beth is an outstanding employee, Who makes a positive impact on our school. Beth is a very thoughtful and caring person. She always volunteers to do additional tasks or assists those who need help. -Misty Evans

Beth should receive a thousand awards. Beth has redefined the word "helpful colleague" at Southern Local. She is selfless and always willing to help others. Beth is dedicated to her work and there isn't a day that goes by she isn't sending out college advice to our high school students. She goes above and beyond everyday. She makes everyone's day by being happy and smiling. Beth was a huge part of mental health awareness that took place within our school district last year. She helped collaborate with a group of students to form the AHA (About Hope Always) summit. From speaking to several high school students, this was a life changing event. Not only does Beth complete her job at school, she spends countless volunteer hours at sporting events taking pictures for parents and athletes. Her commitment, enthusiasm, and positive attitude are truly appreciated. By awarding Beth Lanning employee of the month, it will truly show the district's appreciation of what a wonderful employee she is. -Amy Roush

I think Beth should be Employee of the Month because she goes above and beyond for our students at the high school. She is on top of the paperwork for students who are participating in internships. She communicates updates and concerns with parents. She brings so many opportunities to Southern High School Students. As a parent, I was extremely impressed with how my own child went through the internship in nursing with Beth. She was on top of everything. I love how she exposes our students to so many career opportunities. As a colleague, Beth is a positive and compassionate person to be around. I think our school is lucky to have her.   -Autumn Lisle

Mrs. Hendrix & Mrs. Johnson

Jenny Hendrix -Staff Member of the Month

I am nominating Jenny Hendrix for staff member of the month because of her pride in her job and her respect for fellow coworkers. She goes above and beyond expectations to make sure that our school is in excellent condition. Jenny is always positive and helpful every time I see her. I appreciate everything she does for our school. -Courtney Manuel

Jenny is not only one of the best Janitors I have ever had as a teacher, but she is one of the most helpful and kind people I have ever met. She genuinely cares about this school, the staff members, and the students who go here. She always asks you how your day is, teaches the students who end up in detention how and why hard work is important, and even looks at the little details to each teacher's classroom when it comes to things being out of place or checking in when a substitute was in a classroom. Jenny always brings a smile to my face and for the short time she was gone it reminded me and many other staff members how hard she works and how much she cares about her job.  - Amanda Rinaldi

Jenny does her job as well as anyone and she is always so nice to kids. She is willing to help anyone or any child. She's just a plus to this school district. - Jeff Beaver

Congratulations to all honorees and a huge thank you to Home National Bank and Mr. Hoback.
