My family: Patty Cook (daughter of Leland and Margaret Parker); John Cook (married in 1988); Nathan Cook (son with his wife Amber); Trenton Cook (son); Jessica Cook (daughter). We farm 160 acres in Bedford and Chester townships.
My education: 1980 graduate from Meigs High School; 1982-associate degree from OSU/ATI. 1985 BA degree from Glenville State College in business/math education; 1995 Master in special education from University of Rio Grande.
My teaching experience within the Southern Local school district: 1985 - two years substituting at: Portland Elem., Letart Elem., Syracuse Elem., Racine Elem., Junior High, and High school. I substituted in all Meigs County school prior to consolidation within the districts. 1987- teaching Multihandicapped (ages 6-9) at Carleton School. 1989- teaching the first multihandicapped class (grades 6-9), in Meigs County public schools (in the old music room at Southern Junior High). 1999-hired by Southern Local to teach special education (on the stage at Syracuse Elementary). 2001 intervention specialist at Southern Elementary (grades 2-8).
