POMEROY, OH- The Meigs County Chamber Student Ambassadors are currently preparing for an upcoming educational event designed to support local high school seniors as they transition into adulthood.

“Dollars & Decisions – Step Into Your Life” will take place on April 27, 2026, at The Blakeslee Center. This interactive program will serve approximately 175 seniors across Meigs County, providing them with valuable, real-world financial decision-making experience.

To help ensure the success of this event, the seniors are seeking community donations to enhance student swag bags. While basic supplies such as pens, notepads, and folders have been secured, additional items are still needed. Suggested contribution ideas include small practical items (ChapStick or highlighters), sticky notes, fidgets, snacks, or other useful materials for students.

In addition, gift cards of any amount are being requested to serve as student incentives and prizes during the event.

Student Chamber Ambassadors are:

Murphy Dunfee (Southern High School)

Derrick Barnes (Eastern High School)

Caden O’Neil, Blake Folmer, Natalie Goode, and Ava Buckley (Meigs High School)

Donations need to be dropped off at the Meigs County Chamber of Commerce’s office, 236 E. Main St., Pomeroy, by Friday, April 17, 2026. For more information, contact Susan White, Executive Director of the Meigs County Chamber of Commerce, at 740-992-5005 or director@meigsohio.com.

Your support plays an important role in preparing our students for future success and is greatly appreciated.
