LPDC: News and Information
The Local Professional Development Committee meets on a monthly basis throughout the school year, and all staff who are required to have licenses are welcome to come to ask questions or get clarification on their own licensing issues.
During the January meeting, the committee decided that teachers who are in an approved graduate program will not need to submit a coursework plan for each class as they take it.
Teachers who are pursing a Master's degree or Ph.D will only need to submit one coursework plan when they begin the graduate program and this form will cover them for all the classes required for that particular degree.
The form for having coursework approved will still be required by teachers who are taking classes arbitrarily for the purposes of license renewal, but not for any particular graduate degree (Master's or Ph.D).
