Graduation Requirements

It has come to the District's attention that the ODE has recently completed a sweeping revision of its Graduation Requirements Frequently Asked Questions  page, reflecting recent changes in legislation as well as many ramifications of that legislation.  I encourage you to familiarize yourself with these many revisions with careful consideration given to the guidance you give students and the potential changes for your registration materials and students handbooks.  (Some of these items do not come into effect for two years, hence there is a need for some long-range planning, e.g., changes in social studies requirements for students entering freshmen on/after July 1, 2017).

Southern Varsity Boys Basketball

Tickets are now on sale in the office at Southern Local Schools for the Boys Basketball game.  Tickets will be on sale in the office until Wednesday after school.  Tickets will also be on sale at the game.  Game starts at 8pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at the Convo in Athens, Ohio.  Come out and support the team.
